MSP offers seminars and workshops to fellow shooters who want another view point to help them achieve their creative goals. These are just some of the standard workshops we offer for groups and one on one personal instructions.

Seminars and Workshops

MSP offers digital photography seminars and workshops for beginners and up and coming professionals to help them create their ideas with professional tools and techniques to succeed at our Baltimore Rental Studios. Some of these workshops and curriculms are the same ones the photographer taught at The Washington School of Photography in Bethesda, MD.

Glamour Photography Workshop, $175/pp - Work with a live models, and a makeup artists. Participants should have a good basic understanding of their camera equipment and photoshop.

 

    • Setting your goals, how to plan for the results your clietns demand.
      • How to find the right model for your goals, portfolio or publication submissions
      • How to choose the correct backdrop and lighting
    • Using studio flash to shape your models form for impact
    • How to use calibration tools, meter, and using white balance for the desired effect
    • How to create poses that work for the models beauty and shape
    • Photo editing, printing, and desk top publishing techinques (web.)

 

 

 

Beauty and Portraiture Photography Workshop, $175/pp - Work with a live models, and a makeup artists. Learn to take a wonderful headshot. Participants should have a good basic understanding of their camera equipment and photoshop.

 

    • Setting your goals, how to plan for the results your clietns demand.
      • How to select the right lens for any clients facial structure
      • How to help your client to choose the right wardrobe for the their goals.
    • Using studio flash to shape your models face for impact
    • How to use calibration tools, meter, and using white balance for the desired effect
    • How to create poses that work
    • Photo editing, and printing

     

 

Landscape Photography Workshop, $75/pp - On location, travel time can be "up to one hour" to reach assignment area. (For example Harper's Ferry, WV.) Participants should have a good basic understanding of their camera equipment. Lunch included.

    • How to use calibration tools, meter, and using white balance for the desired effect
    • Photo editing, printing, and desk top publishing techinques (web.)

     

How to photograph your children, $100/pp - Work with a live child model. Participants should have a good basic understanding of their camera equipment and photoshop.

 

    • Setting your goals, how to anticipate and capture that moment.
    • Getting a better understanding of your subject
    • Do's and Don'ts when photographing children, even your own
    • Photo editing, printing, and desk top publishing techinques (web.)

 

 

 

How to take better SHOTS using the equipment you already have, $75 - DSLR or point and shoot camera, they are both tools for the creative process. Participants should have a good basic understanding of their camera equipment and photoshop.

 

    • A one on one with the instructor using your camera covering the basics
    • Getting a better understanding of:
      • Aperture
      • Shutter Speed
      • ISO Ratings
      • Depth of field
      • Image Composition, desiging in the view finding
      • Lens selections and capabilities
    • Photo editing, printing, and desk top publishing techinques (web.)
